This season, the geography of export of several expanded, the second and third place among the major buyers of Argentine wheat came to South Asia - Indonesia (406 thousand tons in the period under review.) and Thailand (316 thousand tons), which are not carried out the Argentine wheat procurement last season. The first place has traditionally remained behind Brazil (2 402 thousand tons compared to 1 648 thousand tons in the same period of 2014/15 season).

Recall that in the current season, Ukraine supplied to markets in Thailand and Indonesia, more than 3 million tons of wheat. According to the current USDA forecast, wheat exports from Argentina for the entire current season may reach 7.5 million tons and will be above last year's level - 5.3 million tons, despite a decline in wheat production in 2015/16 compared to last season (12.5 million tons against 11.3 million tons).

According to preliminary forecasts of market experts, the export of Argentine wheat next season could rise to 9.8 million tons, due to the further expansion of the area. Sowing of wheat for harvest in 2016 will begin later this month.
