I. Harvest status of agricultural crops
Grain and leguminous crops were harvested on an area of — 13.8 million hectares (93%), yielding 41.8 c/ha (in 2013 — 38.3 c/ha) 57.7 million tons of grain has been harvested, including: corn — 21.2 million tons.

Highest grain yields were recorded in Khmelnitsky area — 61.2 c/ha, Vinnitsa — 57.9 c/ha, Kiev — 57.9 c/ha, Cherkassy — 56.7 c/ ha and Sumy — 56.1 c/ha.

Sunflower was harvested on an area of nearly 5.0 million hectares (96% of the forecast), 9.4 million tons has been collected; soybeans — 3.6 million tons from an area of 1.7 million hectares (96%).

The highest gross grain yield was collected in Odessa area — 3.1 million tons, Kharkiv — 2.9 million tons and Dnipropetrovs’k — 2.4 million tons.

Sugar beet has been collected on an area of 283 thousand hectares (85% of the forecast); nearly 12.7 million tons was collected, with yield of 449 c/ha, (in 2013 — 398 c/ha). There are 46 sugar plants working (in 2013 — 36). Since the beginning of the season there was 9.21 million tons of sugar beet processed, producing 1276.3 thousand tons of sugar) in 2013 — 628.6 thousand tons).

II. Sowing process of winter crops

Winter crops have been planted on an area of 7.2 million hectares or 94% of the forecast (in 2013 — 7.2 million hectares), of which:

  • winter wheat and triticale — almost 6.2 million hectares, or 99% of the forecast;
  • rye — 166 thousand hectares, or 81% of the forecast;
  • winter barley — 905 thousand hectares, or 85%.

Reference: Winter grains are projected to be planted on an area of 7.5 million hectares (94.4 thousand hectares more than a year earlier), including: wheat and triticale — 6.2 million hectares (+131.0 thousand hectares against last year), barley — 1.07 million hectares (-42.5 thousand hectares), rye — 206.5 thousand hectares (+5.9 thousand hectares).

III. Fertilizers

as of 31.10.201, according to regional operational data, including transitional balances in stock (excluding Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions) there are 634 thousand tons or 93% of the application.

Prices.

During period from June 1 of the current year selling prices for ammonium nitrate, manufactured by major domestic chemical companies, increased from 3500 — to 4850 UAH. per 1 ton of the physical weight or 28%. Analysts of the mineral fertilizer market predict its further growth.
