According to the special correspondent of "Kazakh-Zerno" IA, as of July 12, Ukraine has sold abroad 300 000 tons of newly harvested grain already.
"The state helps ease domestic grain market via Agrarian Fund and SFGCU. However, one of the main methods to stabilize prices on the domestic market is through export policy. In order to clear grain surplus before 2013-2014 marketing year (MY) begins, the state has stimulated its exports. Sale of grain abroad has increased by at least 1 million tons, "- said the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Mykola Prysiazhniuk.
Also, the head of the department mentioned that before the harvest began, the Government has put in great effort in order to open new global markets to domestic grain.
"During first 12 days since the beginning of new MY Ukraine has already delivered nearly 300 000 tons of grain abroad. In general, this year's grain export is out to become the largest in the history of independence. According to the forecasts, Ukraine will exports about 24-26 million tons of newly harvested grain, "- said the Minister.
