Because Russian Federation introduces new restrictions on grain export, in 2014/15 MY Ukrainian grain will have new perspectives opened. This, on January 15, was said by Rodion Rybchinski, head of business projects of IA «APK-Inform», at a press conference.

«On February 1, the RF introduces prohibitive export duties, especially for wheat, which means importing countries will be looking for replacement. This opens new opportunities for Ukrainian grain in terms of export volumes, as well as pricing, » — said the expert.

He also added that in the current MY Ukrainian grain market is greatly influenced by high volatility of currency exchange rate, forcing farmers to restrain the sale of grain. At the same time, according to Mr. Rybchinskogo, active corn trade stimulates growth of domestic prices.

«With grain and legumes harvest volumes reaching 61.5 million tons and stated export volume around 33 million tons- no problems in the domestic market should not expect», — said the expert.

In addition, he noted, that «any statements about state of winter grain in mid-January are speculative» since by the end of February accurate forecasts cannot be made.

«This factor also delays sale of grain by farmers and stimulates the growth of prices», — said Mr. Rybchinski.
