Over the past weeks the condition of winter crops in the U.S. has somewhat deteriorated. 

Over the past weeks the condition of winter crops in the U.S. has somewhat deteriorated. This is according to the National Agricultural Statistics Service at USDA (NASS USDA).

According to NASS there was 35% of winter wheat in good and excellent condition, compared to 63% on the same date a year earlier, 32% (27%) - is in a satisfactory condition and, finally, in a poor and in very bad - 33% (10%) in the previous year.

Corn seeding is completed by 2%, against 26% on the same date a year earlier, spring wheat - by 7% (52%) and spring barley - by 23% (43%). According to the meteorologists’ forecasts, soon the weather conditions will improve and the weather will be more favorable for the sowing process.
