Ukraine is increasing its import of agricultural goods into the EU and reduces import — the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food
On December 16, the press — service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food reported that in the period from January to October of the current year, share of EU in a common structure of foreign trade of agricultural products of Ukraine amounted to 33.6%.
According to the report, turnover from foreign trade between Ukraine and EU countries during the reporting period increased by 2.5% (or $156.6 million) and amounted to $6.473 billion. A surplus has increased by 2.1 times and is $1.918 billion.
Share of EU countries in the foreign trade turnover between the EU and Ukraine is as follows: Spain — 14.3%, the Netherlands — 13%, Poland — 12.8%, Italy — 11.2%, Germany — 10.6%, France — 8.1%, UK — 4.5%, Belgium — 4.7%, Portugal — 3.2%, Hungary — 3%, Romania — 2.3%, Lithuania — 2.2%, Greece — 1.9%.
Also, it is noted that during period reported, export of Ukrainian goods into the EU countries amounted to $4.196 billion, that’s by 16% (or almost $580 million) more, than for the same period in 2013. Import, at the same time, decreased by 15.7% (or $423.4 billion) and amounted to $2.277 billion.
