On March 17, according to the press-service, Oleksey Pavlenko, the Minister of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine, stated that the Ministry negotiated and kept preferential tax treatment for farmers.

“Current special VAT treatment for farming, timber and fishing industries was preserved. This will leave farmers another 16 million UAH annually. There were some truly serious negotiations with the IMF, but in the current year we have retained this provision. Therefore, in the time remaining, it is necessary to use all available support mechanisms ”, - said the Minister.

He has also reminded of preservation of single taxation (fourth group of taxpayers), amendments to the State budget (550 million UAH to support farmers).

“These funds will allow us to reduce the price of up to $4 billion UAH in loans and provide 250 million UAH in support to domestic livestock producers, ”- said Mr. Pavlenko.

In addition, the Minister added that agricultural receipts will allow farmers to attract additional 5 billion UAH.
