As it became known by “ProAgro” company, soybean harvesting in Brazil is near completion. Imea reports.
Currently, over 70% country’s soybean is arvested already. In country’s three key soybean-producing states – Mato Grosso, Parana and Rio Grande do Sul the crop has been collected by 97%, 75% and 25%, respectively.
At Mato Grosso, Brazil’s leading soybean -producing state (while closer examination), in state’s central part soybean harvest is 100% completed, in the South- by 96%, 99% in the West, and 82%- in the North-Eastern part (the harvesting process here is delayed due to lingering rains).
Since soybean harvest, in fact, turns out to be significantly lower than previously predicted, Imea experts already lowered their forecasts of soybean yield within the state from 24.1 million tons to 23.5 million tons. Currently, soybean harvest is beginning in the country’s Northern states; however it is significantly delayed due to unfavorable weather conditions. Though, only small part of Brazilian soybean is raised in the North.
