UGA has signed a memorandum on coordination of grain exports volumes

Ukrainian Grain Association signed a memorandum on the organization of grain export volumes. Such announcement was made on August 20 by the press-service of the association.

This memorandum provides for cooperation of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy with grain exporters on the basis of export volume declaration; a joint statement of possible export volumes in accord with demand and supply balance for grains in 2014/15 MY, including qualitative indicators, as well as its purpose.

The Ministry is obligated to inform exporters, on the weekly basis, of grain delivery volumes onto foreign markets, as well as notify of critical export opportunities for at least 2 months prior to possible change in the trade regime.

Prior to the moment when schedule of foreign trade is changed, the Ministry has to promote, and not to establish any barriers for free grain export.

In turn, in case of receipt of the request grain exporters will inform the Ministry in writing upon the fact of and the perspective for grain export.

This Memorandum shall enter into force upon signing and shall be valid through July 1, 2015

The document will be signed by the head of Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine Igor Shvaika, as well as representatives of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine, the European Business Association, Association of Farmers and Private Landowners of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Agrarian Confederation, Ukrainian Agribusiness Club, as well as the Agrarian Union of Ukraine.
