More than 8% of Ukraine’s GDP is generated by agricultural sector — Schwaika
More than 8% of Ukraine’s GDP is generated by agricultural sector, and up to 90% of food products in the country- are of domestic production. Such announcement was made on November 20th, according to the press- service of the Ministry, by the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, Igor Schwaika, at the International Conference on Nutrition in Rome.
«Despite country’s complicated situation ... Ukraine is and will remain a powerful player on the global food market», — he said.
Also, according to the Minister, export volumes of agrarian goods amount to more than 25% of country’s total exports.
Mr. Schwaika also added that Ukraine is set and ready to be active, enhanced and mutually beneficial integration into global food market.
