I. Harvest status of agricultural crops
Grain and leguminous crops were harvested on an area of — 14.4 million hectares (97%), yielding 43.1 c/ha (in 2013 — 40.2 c/ha) or 62.0 million tons of grain has been collected in total, including: corn — 25.5 million tons.

The highest grain yields were recorded in Khmelnitsky area — 63.7 c/ha, Vinnitsa — 60.3 c/ha, Kiev — 59.0 c/ha, Sumy — 57.8 c/ha and Cherkassy — 57.6 c/ ha.

Sunflower has been harvested on an area of 5.0 million hectares (97% of the forecast), 9.9 million tons were collected; 3.8 million tons of soybeans has been harvested from an area of 1.77 million hectares (99%).

Sugar beet has been collected on an area of 321 thousand hectares (96% of the forecast), harvest amounts to 14.8 million tons, while yield is 460 c/ha (in 2013 — 403c/ha). Currently, there are 39 sugar plants working (in 2013 — only 28). Since production began, 11.7 million tons of sugar beet has been processed and 1640.3 thousand tons of sugar produced.

II. Sowing process of winter crops

Winter crops were planted on an area of 7.6 million hectares or 102% of the forecast:

winter wheat and triticale — 6.5 million hectares, or 104% of the forecast;

Rye — 150 thousand hectares, or 80% of the forecast;

Winter barley — 1005 thousand hectares, or 94% .

Inspection of winter crops planted shows that as of 13.11.2014 young growths on an area of 6.7 million hectares (89% of the forecast); 5.5 million hectares (83%) of which are in good and satisfactory condition, 1.2 million hectares (17%) are in poor condition. In expert’s opinion, 11% of crops (857.5 thousand tons) did not form shoots. Most of such areas are located in Odessa, Mykolaiv and kirovohrad regions.

A further condition of crops, especially those that did not germinate, and are weak condition crucially depend on the weather conditions, primarily on level of precipitations and temperature.

III. Fertilizers

As of 14.11.2014, according to regional operational data, including transitional balances (excluding Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions) there are 644 thousand tons or 95%.

Prices

Since June 1 of the current year, selling prices for ammonium nitrate, manufactured by major domestic chemical companies, increased in price from 3500 to 4850UAH per 1 ton of physical weight or by 28%. Analysts predict further growth on fertilization market.
