As of March 23, Ukraine planted spring grains throughout 0.6 mln ha — Ministry of Agrarian Policy
As of March 23, Ukrainian agrarians planted early spring grains and pulses throughout the areas of 603 thsd ha, or 25% of the plan, declared the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
In particular, Ukraine planted spring wheat throughout 48 thsd ha (35%), spring barley — 445 thsd ha (23%), oats — 53 thsd ha (21%), and peas — 57 thsd ha (37%).
In addition, agrarians provided additional fertilizing of winter grains throughout 6.213 mln ha (78%), winter rapeseed — 687 thsd ha (74%).
Mainly southern regions showed the highest shares of spring crops planted areas. So, Mykolaiv oblast planted crops throughout 50% of the forecasted areas, Odessa oblast — 46%, Kherson oblast — 41%. Also, Khmelnitsky oblast planted crops throughout 59% of the forecasted areas, Lviv oblast — 42%, and Rivno oblast — 40%.
