I. Harvest status of agricultural crops
Harvesting of grains and leguminous crops is completed on an area of 13.0 million hectares (88%), yielding 40.3 c/ha (in 2013 — 36.6 c/ha); in total, there is 52.3 million tons of grain collected, including: corn — 15.9 million tons.
The highest grain yield is in Khmelnitsky area — 59.1 c/ha, Vinnitsa — 55.2 c/ha, Cherkassy — 55.1 c/ha, and Kiev — 54.1 c/ha and Chernivtsi — 52.7 c/ha.
Sunflower has been collected from an area of 4.9 million hectares (95% of the forecast), harvest amounts to 9.2 million tons, soybeans — 3.3 million tons, from an area of 1.6 million hectares (89%).
Sugar beet has been collected from an area of 228 thousand hectares (69% of the forecast), 10.0 million tons has been excavated with yield of 438 c/ha, (in 2013 — 388 c/ha). There are 47 sugar plants working (in 2013 — 36), which, since the beginning of the current season, processed 6.8 million tons of sugar beet and produced 922.6 thousand tons of sugar (2013 — 368.5 thousand tons).
II. Sowing process of winter crops
Winter crops were planted on an area of 6.98 million hectares or 93% of the forecast (in 2013 — 6.8 million hectares), of which:
winter wheat and triticale — almost 6.0 million hectares, or 97% of the forecast;
rye — 163 thousand hectares, or 79% of the forecast;
winter barley — 819 thousand hectares, or 77%.
Reference: Winter grains are projected to be placed on an area of 7.5 million hectares (94.4 thousand hectares more than last year), including: wheat and triticale — 6.2 million hectares (+131.0 thousand hectares more than last year), barley — 1.07 million hectares (-42.5 thousand hectares), rye — 206.5 thousand hectares (+5.9 thousand hectares).
III. Fertilizers
As of October 17, 2014, according to regional operational data, including transitional balances (excluding Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk areas) there is almost 609 thousand tons (90% of the forecast) or 88% of last year’s numbers.

As of October 17, intermediary firms sell ammonium nitrate at 5700UAH/ton and up.
