In 2014/15 MY Ukraine is out to reduce its production and export volumes of vegetable oils — the expert
In Ukraine, during 2014/15 MY, production and export volumes of vegetable oils will decrease compared with the previous season — from 4.84 million tons and 4.36 million tons to 4.6 million tons and 4.275 million tons, respectively. Such an assessment has been made by Stepan Kapshuk, CEO of the «Ukroliyaprom» on October 30, while at the conference «Oil and fat industry-2014» in Kiev.
«The main contribution to this reduction would make sunflower oil, production of which will decline during 2014/15 MY from 4,65 million to 4.3 million tons; exports- from 4,19 million to 4 million tons,» — said the expert. At the same time, as predicted by the association, the production and export volume of rapeseed oil in Ukraine during 2014/15 MY will grow — from 60 and 59.1 thousand tons to 100 and 95 thousand tons, respectively.
«Production of soybean oil will become even more considerable — from 130 to 200 thousand tons, 180 thousand tons of which will be exported,» — added Mr. Kapshuk.
