The Chinese importers keep rejecting cargos with US corn ordered previously. The last batch of overall volume of 56 thousand tons of grain, in particular, Chinese party abandoned simultaneously when the first batch of non-genetically modified corn arrived to China from Ukraine.

According to results of 2013, the Chinese importers rejected 601 thousand tons of corn and processed goods from the US. The main reason — onboard presence of genetically-modified varieties of grain type MIR126, developed by Syngenta. At the end of 2013, first Ukrainian panamax with Ukrainian grain, with a GMO-free reputation on a global market, has arrived to China.
