The observed intensity increase of export potential in agricultural sector requires appropriate infrastructure support and, above all, transshipment facilities in ports. To date, a total annual capacity of port grain terminals in Ukraine is estimated at 55 million tons, with same- time storage of about 3 million tons. In addition, about 95 % of exports of vegetable oils is provided through the oil filler port terminals of Ukraine, the total capacity of which is estimated at 6.6 million tons per year.
Today, these values allow to export significant volumes of agricultural products, which , for example, in December 2013 for bulk cargo totaled about 4.6 million tons. At the same time, along with growth of production and export of crops in Ukraine there is a further development of the infrastructure segment ; global construction plans of port terminals, which will significantly increase country's export potential, have been already announced.
