According to the market operators, China continues to consider the possibility to allow supply of GM corn, MIR162 type, into the country. Per country’s officials, this type of crop may be approved for import as soon as in the first half of the current year.
Recall that China has been considering issue concerning supply of MIR162 corn type into the country for a while now, however while this matter is being considered Asian importers continue to refuse grain batches which contain MIR162 type.
