The Cabinet of Ministry of Ukraine wants to make the country a global supplier of food
The Cabinet of Ministers intends to reduce the share of energy-intensive industries in the Ukrainian economy and make the country a global supplier of food. According to the press service of the Ministry, this was stated by First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade –Mr. Anatoly Maksyuta.

“In the long term, the government plans to change the structure of the Ukrainian economy by reducing the share of energy-intensive industries,” —the press service quoted Mr. Maksyuta.
According to him, the promising industries for Ukraine are agriculture, food industry, machinery, aircraft and ship-building. In addition, Ukraine has significant potential for development of IT-technologies.
First Deputy of Minister named infrastructure development as one of the priorities of the government; in particular this applies to agriculture, namely logistics and export of agricultural products, construction of roads and transport links, including port facilities.
Mr. Maksyuta has also reminded that the government is working on reduction of gas consumption and searches for alternative sources of its supplies to Ukraine, including production of alternative fuels, LNG-terminal construction, energy efficiency measures and creates appropriate conditions to attract investors in these areas.
