In their latest report analysts of Oil World downgraded their forecasts of global oilseed harvests in 2014/15 season by 5.7 million tons — down to 505 million tons, which is still significantly higher than indicators in the previous MY (488.4 million tons).

The decrease in this indicator is due to sunflower and rapeseed. In particular, analytical predictions of gross global harvest of sunflower seeds in the new season are 40.4 (40.6; 42.1) million tons, rapeseed- 68.1 (68.6, 69.7) million tons.

Forecasts of global soybeans harvest, in the meantime, were revised upward — to 305.6 (301.9, 284.6) million tons.
