Ukraine has already exported over 27 million tons of grain
In the current marketing year, exports of wheat from Ukraine may reach 12.8 million tons, barley- 4.2 million tons, corn — 20.2 million tons.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food, as of March 31 and from the beginning of the current marketing year (MY, July 2014 — June 2015), Ukrainian farmers exported over 27 million tons of grain.
In particular, export of wheat amounted to 9.7 million tons, corn — 13 million tons, barley — 4.1 million tons, other grains- 0.279 million tons.
At the same time, according to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, the prices of wheat for food and 3rd grade feed wheat were 3.8 thousand UAH /t and 3.5 thousand UAH /t, respectively. Average prices for barley was 3.6 thousand UAH /t, corn — 3.2 thousand UAH /t.
In February, as UNIAN reported earlier, an interdepartmental working group under the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade has increased its forecast for grain exports from Ukraine during 2014/2015 marketing year to 37.9 million tons from 37.79 million projected in January.
According to the balance sheet prepared by the group, in the current MY export of wheat from Ukraine may reach 12.8 million tons, barley — 4.2 million tons, corn — 20.2 million tons.
The Ministry of Economic Development has calculated these export volumes based on the evaluation of grain harvest in 2014 at 63.8 million tons.
