In 2015, Ukraine will change the structure of areas under oilseeds. Such statement has been made on April 7 by the head of business projects of «APK-Inform» IA, Mr. Rodion Rybczynski, at the press conference of «APK-Inform» IA and Ukrainian Grain Association devoted to «The results of Ukrainian-American Agricultural Congress. Forecast of APK-Inform on 2015 harvest of basic grains and oilseeds».
According to him, despite the reduction in the acreage of rape (-32%) and sunflower (-3%), the area under the main oilseeds in the current year will amount to 8 million ha., which is 1% higher than last year.
«The increase in the area under oilseeds will be caused by an increased acreage of soybeans by 19%, which may result in another record for this crop», — he said.
