I. Harvest status of agricultural crops

According to regional updated information, there are 14.9 million hectares of grain and leguminous crops to be harvested. Currently, about 9.9 million hectares have been trashed, yielding 35.8 million tons of grain. Harvesting process of early grains and leguminous crops is almost completed, these were trashed on an area of 9.6 million hectares, yielding 35.2 million tons of grain.

Harvesting of late crops has been initiated

Corn has been harvested on an area of 32 thousand hectares, yielding 111 thousand tons.

119 thousand tons of buckwheat and 137 thousand tons of millet have been collected.

The highest grain yield is in Khmelnitsky area — 51.2 c/ ha, Cherkassy — 48.0 c/ ha, Vinnitsa — 47.5 c/ ha and Kiev — 44.8 c/ ha.

The highest gross grain yield was collected in Odessa area — 3.1 million tons, Kharkiv — 2.9 million tons and Dnipropetrovs’k — 2.4 million tons.

In addition, sunflower was harvested on an area of ​​1065 thousand hectares, yielding 1514 thousand tons. Soybean was threshed on an area of ​​98 thousand hectares. New harvest was 178 thousand tons.

Sugar beet has been collected on an area of ​​10 thousand hectares, yielding 430 thousand tons.

Potatoes collected on 11955 thousand tons.

Vegetables collected from 235 thousand hectares. Gross yield is 3590 thousand tons.

II. Sowing process of winter crops

Winter crops are projected to be planted on an area of 7.5 million hectares (94.4 thousand hectares more than last year), including: wheat and triticale — 6.2 million hectares, barley — 1.07 million ha, rye — 206,5 thousand hectares.

Sowing process of winter rapeseed has been initiated, and, already has been performed on an area 554 thousand hectares.

Grains

The expected availability of seeds of winter crops is 1.6 million tons or 101% of what’s needed.

Fertilizers

Agricultural producers continue purchasing mineral fertilizers to put them under the next year’s crop.

According to regional operational data, including transitional balances (excluding Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions) there are 423.8 thousand tons available, including:

Nitrogen — 208.0 thousand tons;

Phosphorus — almost 119.0 thousand tons;

Potash — about 96 thousand tons.

Prices.

Intermediary firms sell ammonium nitrate at 5000UAH and up/1 ton.

Prices for NPK (Superagro) and carbamide have also changed. Within the period specified, their prices increased and are being sold by traders at, respectively: NPK (Superagro) 6200-7150, carbamide — 5100 UAH per 1 ton or higher.

Currently, domestic chemical companies PJSC “Severodonetskoye obednannya Azot” and OJSC “Styrol” are not running which does nothing to improve the situation with mineral fertilizers.
