China admitted new varieties of GM- corn and soybeans onto its market

Taking that, Syngenta MIR162 grain type, so critical for American exporters, was not included in the list of import permitted varieties. This means that the American cargo of corn and its products will continue to be subject to be subject to strict control by the Chinese phytosanitary services, and it will continue significantly weaken position of American exporters on the Chinese market.
Yet, newly opened to new of GM- corn varieties Chinese market means bright prospects for exporters from Argentina, which has long been expecting to adopt such decision by Beijing. Most of China authorized GM varieties of corn and soybeans are actively cultivated in the Argentine pampas.
