The USA: acreage under corn will be the smallest in the last five years

Allendale Inc. predicts, that in the current planting season American farmers will prefer to expand the area under soybeans at the expense of corn, predicts

Corn acreage will be reduced down to 88 508 million acres (35 819 million ha.), to its lowest since the 2010/2011 season. Last season, the sown area under corn amounted to 90 597 million acres (36 665 million ha.).

Soybeans will be planted on a record 86 052 million acres (34 825 million ha.). Last year, acreage under this crop totaled to 83 701 million acres (33 874 million ha.).

Area under wheat will be 56 678 million acres (22 938 million ha.).

Taking that productivity will not be below average, next season United States will harvest 13 393 billion bushels of corn (340 180 million tons), 3 858 billion bushels of soybeans (105 01 million tons) and 2 210 billion bushels of wheat (60 15). In the current season harvest of corn was 14 216 billion bushels (361 09 million tons), soybeans- 3 969 billion bushels (108 03 million tons), wheat- 2 026 billion bushels (55.14 million tons).
