According to operative data as of September 15, Ukraine harvested 37.6 mln tonnes of grains and pulses throughout the areas of 10.3 mln ha, or 69% of the planned areas (excluding the Crimea). The average yield totaled 3.66 t/ha, declared the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.

According to the Ministry, on the same date in 2013 Ukraine harvested 33.5 mln tonnes of grains, with the average yield of 3.19 t/ha.

Agrarians harvested 1.49 mln tonnes of maize for grain throughout 365 thsd ha (8%), with the average yield of 4.19 t/ha.

Ukrainian agrarians harvested 148 thsd tonnes of buckwheat throughout 77% of the planned areas, with the average yield of 1.42 t/ha.

Ukraine harvested 162 thsd tonnes of millet throughout 85% of the planned areas. The average yield totaled 1.87 t/ha.

Also, Ukrainian agrarians harvested 4.5 mln tonnes of sunflower seed throughout 2.7 mln ha (52%), with the average yield of 1.66 t/ha.

Ukraine harvested 810 thsd tonnes of soybeans throughout the areas of 437 thsd ha (24%). The average yield of the oilseed totaled 1.85 t/ha.

Agrarians planted winter grains throughout 905 thsd ha (12%), including winter wheat and triticale — 860 thsd ha, rye — 34 thsd ha (17%), winter barley — 10 thsd ha (1%). In addition, winter rapeseed was planted throughout 731 thsd ha (85% of the plan).
