In the current season sunflower processing volumes in Argentina will be significantly reduced. The yield of sunflower in Argentina during 2012/13 marketing season are estimated at 3.1 million tons.
Sunflower harvesting is completed by 96%. However, the production volumes of the crop, in the current year, decreased by 7.2%. During 2011/12 marketing year yield of sunflower was at 3.34 million tons. Processing volumes will significantly decrease during this MY to 2.85 million tons of sunflower. During last year for processing of the crop was used 3.39 million tons.
