Qualitative grain indicators.
According to the optimistic data of NAAS of Ukraine, due to increased temperature and spring fertilization of winter wheat winter wheat grain, especially in the steppe area, was formed of high quality. About 72% −75% of the grain, which was received at the certified storage facilities belong to the food group (grade 1-5), 60% of them- grains of 1-3 grade, 12% — 4-5 grade.
Nevertheless, according to the operational data from in central and western areas of the country, the situation is somewhat different; ratio of wheat grain for food and non-food grain, according to pessimistic data is 45% to 55%, according to optimistic- 50% to 50%.
In the future, the quality of grains, especially in the western regions will depend on weather conditions and the degree of plant contamination with various diseases (For reference: in the western regions up to 12% of the plants are affected by Fusarium, Septoria, powdery mildew).
Influence of weather conditions on the condition of late crop
Due to hot weather conditions late crops started to mature earlier than usual; that is, corn grain on almost all areas has reached lactic condition, and wax maturity in some areas.
Sunflower seeds have reached their biological maturity extremely early this year.
Sugar beet continues to add on its root weight while sugar content continues to increase intensively. Soybean plants are in the phase of forming beans.
