In their latest report FAO analysts forecast that in 2014/15 MY world wheat production (including durum wheat) will be 704 million tons, which is inferior to a record high number of the previous season - 716.2 million tons.
In particular, reduction in gross yield of wheat during the new season is expected in Russia - to 50 (52..1) million tons, Canada- to 9.7 (37.5) million tons and Australia - to 25.5 (27) million tons.
In turn, growth of grain yields is projected in EU - to 145 (142.5) million tons, China - to 122.8 (122.2) million tons, India - to 95.6 (93.5) million tons and USA- to 60 (58) million tons.
