Projection of global corn production in 2013/14 MY is increased due to EU and China - USDA
According to the updated forecast of USDA analysts, during 2013/14 season, volumes of corn production will reach 967.52 million tons, 0.89 million tons more than previously expected by the experts, and considerably higher than last year’s results.

In particular, given figure was increased for China to 217.73 (217; 205.61) million tons and EU countries- to 64.89 (64.69; 58.86) million tons.
For Indonesia, on the other hand, the forecast was demoted to 9.1 (9.2; 8.5) million tons.
During 2013/14 season, experts raised their forecasts for global corn export to 112.95 million tons compared to the previous estimate (112.48 million tons), which also exceeds last year’s result (100.07 million tons). The increase of the given indicator is expected in the U.S. - to 42 (41; 18.28) million tons.
