In South Africa soybean sowing became record
UkrAgroConsult, with reference on eFeedLink, states that in South Africa soybean crops hit its record and reached 630,3 ha, which is 23% more per year.
Expansion of soybean sowing area was caused by increasing demand for soybean products. During 2013/14 season (ended in February 2014) soybean harvest in South Africa totaled to 944 340 tons, which was a record high.
In the current 2014/15 season, soybean harvest in South Africa may exceed 1 million tons.
