As of October 2, there was 37.732 million tons of grain harvested from the area of 11.65 million hectares (74% of planned), with an average yield of 32.4 t/ha. Such information has been released by the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
By October 2, 2012, according to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, from the area of 12.04 million hectares there was 33.263 million tons of grain collected, with an average yield of 27.6 t/ha.
In particular, by the specified date, there was 165.6 thousand tons of buckwheat harvested, with average yield 12.2 c/ha, from the total area of 136.2 thousand hectares (74%).
There was 75.2 thousand hectares (89%) of millet cleared away. Total harvest was 103.4 thousand tons, yielding 13.7 c/ha.
With an area of 887.2 thousand hectares (18%) 4.69 million tons of corn for grain has been collected. The average yield totaled 52.9 c/ha.
By the reporting date, rice has been collected from the area of 6.3 million hectares (26%), harvesting 39.8 million tons, with an average yield of 63.6 c/ha.
Sunflower has been removed from an area of 2.54 million hectares (52%). With an average yield of 18.6 c/ha, there was 4.72 million tons of oil-seeds harvested.
Soy was harvested from the area of 334.4 thousand hectares (25%). There was 662.9 thousand tons harvested, yielding 19.8 c/ha.
With an area of 55.5 thousand hectares (19%) there was 2.11 million tons of sugar beets collected, at average yield of 382 c/ha. 1.63 million tons of beet has been delivered to the processing plants.
In addition, by the specified date, winter crops were seeded on the area of 3.055 million hectares (37%), including wheat - 2.77 million ha (42%), barley - 122.8 thousand ha (10%), rye - 153 ha (51%). Winter rape was planted on the area of 831.2 million ha (90%), by the date specified.
