Ukraine exported nearly 4 million tons of grain. Such volumes are by 16% higher than they were last year. Now, however, it is necessary to cheapen export logistics and lower freight rates. This was stated today at a press conference by the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Mykola Prysiazhniuk.

"Grain trade is active on the domestic market. High rates are demonstrated by grain export, as well. Ukraine has already supplied nearly 4 million tons of grain to foreign markets. Such rates surpass last year's by 16%. And we need to grow them on a monthly basis. After all, our export potential exceeds 30 million tons. Therefore, we have to strengthen our work on coordination of grain logistics", - said Mykola Prysiazhniuk.

The Minister has also noted that in the nearest future this issue will become even more sensitive due to high yields of corn. Therefore, at the present time in Ukraine continues its work special interdepartmental working group. Also, the Cabinet of Ministers has approved cost reduction of veterinary and phytosanitary certificates.
"In addition, grain traders have to increase their responsibilities on the grain market. As when the harvest is low, traders are trying to send out maximum amount of grain. Yet, when the country has rich  harvests of grain and price conditions are not favorable, traders point in the direction of the state", - Mykola Prysiazhniuk.
