Yield of Early Crops in Ukraine is Significantly Higher than Last Year – Azarov
As of June 3, yield of early crops in Ukraine is about 24 centners/ hectare; in 2012, by contrast, it was 16 centners/ hectare.
As of June 3, yield of early crops in Ukraine is about 24 centners/ hectare; in 2012, by contrast, it was 16 centners/ hectare. Such was said by Mr.Mykola Azarov, Ukraine’s Prime Minister, government press- service informs.
“Because in the current year there was significantly better care taken after crops, all agricultural procedures were carried out if full, therefore, grain yields increased in all regions”,- Mr. Azarov noted.
The Prime Minister has also mentioned that in the current year the gross harvest will exceed last year’s results by 10-12 million tons.
“That taken, we will achieve approximately 54 million tons of gross yield of grains and leguminous crops”, - the head of the Cabinet said.
In addition, Mr. Azarov has also informed that as of the date there are more than 6 million tons of early gains and leguminous crops harvested in Ukraine from the area of 2.6 million hectares.
