“Currently, agriculture is one of the most attractive economic branches, both in Ukraine and in the world. Therefore, this year we are planning to attract about $3 billion in investment in the agricultural sector. That is more than three times higher than last year's investment into Ukrainian agriculture, when investments were just over $800 million. Such an increase in investment volumes was made possible due to government’s more transparent and predictable public policy. During last few years we have been actively working to expand public-private partnerships in the agricultural sector therefore, investors finally saw that it became less risky to invest money now, "- said the first deputy prime minister Mr. Sergey Arbuzov.
"It became obvious that agriculture is key sector of the state’s economy ", - said Sergey Arbuzov.
The first deputy prime minister has also reported that investment volumes have increased significantly due to finances that come not only from European countries, but Asian countries as well, China in particular. He has also mentioned that there is growing interest to meat and dairy industry, horticulture and biofuel production.
