According to the latest report of Oil World analysts, in I quarter of this year Ukraine supplied to the world market 0.54 million tons of soybeans, which is higher than the result for the same period a year earlier (410.7 million tons). Thus, in the October-March 2012/13 export shipments of Ukrainian oilseed reached 1.03 million tons, which is 22.3% higher than previous year’s results (0.8 million tons).

However, the main focus of soybean shipments from Ukraine during October-March 2012/13 MY were the EU countries -27 - 0.64 (0.52) million tons. In particular, large quantities of oilseeds were shipped to Italy - 393.8 (325.9) million tons and Spain - 90.5 (68.3) million tons. In addition, Egypt, during this given period, has more than doubled its imports of Ukrainian soybean - up to 208.6 (101.9) thousand tons. Also, significant volumes of products were delivered to Turkey - 78.1 (64.6) million tons.
