According to official sources, current wheat reserve of Egypt is high enough to satisfy domestic grain demand until middle of February, 2014.

Since the beginning of 2013/14MY, Egypt has been actively buying wheat from foreign markets, while stocking up on the grain. As of September 10 (since the beginning of July of the current year) the country has already contracted 1.97 million tons of wheat.
