China kept its global leadership in animal feed production
According to rankings generated by the National agro-portal Latifundist.com, based on the research done by Alltech company, in 2014, the status of the world’s leading producer of animal feed was conquered by China.
In 2014, China’s animal feed production amounted to 183 million tons — it is only 6% more than in the US, which in the future may expel China from the first place. Especially, considering that for the past two years China talks about reduction in production of these products.
World’s third position among animal feed producers belongs to Brazil with production volume of 66 million tons; Mexico came in forth producing even less feed — 31 million tons.
