This was reported by an authoritative French research agency, Strategie Grains.

This figure is by 12p.p. less than in the preceding marketing year, which creates conditions for a significant tension increase on the grain market.

Such significant decline in grain quality is primarily due to unfavorable agro-meteorological conditions which dominated during grain vegetation period: excessive rainfall that caused germination of seeds and “washout” of gluten.
