In 2014, production of eggs in Ukraine may grow by 1.5-2% — Union of Poultry Breeders of Ukraine
In 2014, poultry producers of Ukraine may produce 19.28-19.38 billion eggs, which is 1.5-2% more than in 2013. This was announced on January 14 by the head of board of directions of the association of “Union of Poultry Breeders of Ukraine”, Alexander Bakumenko.

According to him, production volumes of dry and liquid egg products may increase in the current year by 15-20%, no absolute numbers were mentioned, however.
Mr. Bakumenko has also noted that in 2014 export of eggs and egg products will increase by 10-15%; the geography of export has expended to 55-56 countries, while last year it was 50 countries instead.
He also added that in 2014 domestic poultry producers will be able to supply eggs and egg products into countries of European Union; the volumes, though, will not be so high due to customs duties in the EU.
