In particular, according to the experts of the European Commission, harvest of wheat in France, which is the leading wheat producing country in the European Union, will be 37.4 million tons, that is by 600 thousand tons more than in the current season.
Exports of wheat outside the EU in 2014/15 MY, according to the experts of the European Commission, will be 22 million tons, or 5 million tons less than in the current season. The carry-over stock of wheat in the EU, based on the results of the coming season, is expected to reach 11.9 million tones, which is 2.4 million tones more than in the 2013/14 season.
In the 2014/15 marketing year, the total corn yield in the European Union countries, according to the experts of the European Commission, promises to reach 69.2 million tons, this is by 4.3 million tones more than in the current marketing year. In particular, in France the national harvest of the grain will be 17.2 million tons; this is by 2.1 million tones more than in 2013/14 MY. At the same time, corn exports from the European Union in 2014/15 MY, in comparison with the current season, will drop by 700 thousand tons, to 2.1 million tons. According to the results of 2014/15 marketing year, the carry-over stock of corn in the European Union promises to be at 14.9 million tones, that is by 1.2 million tones more than the carry-over stock of corn in the EU according to the results expected in 2013/14 marketing year.
