China is having a good summer grain yields
According to the Bureau of Statistics of China, in the current year summer grain harvest within the country will increase by 3.6% compared with the 2013 — up to 136.59 million tons.
It is expected that such growth will be achieved by increasing grain yields, as well as some expansion of areas under them — by 0.1%, to 27.6 million hectares.
It should be noted that winter wheat is the main crop harvested in China during summer time, the expected output of which is out to hit a record high — 117.6 million tons.
