CMU is going to create a single regulatory body in the field of agriculture
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine is intended to create a single regulatory body on the basis of State Agriculture Inspection, State Sanitary and Epidemiological Services and State Veterinary and Phytosanitary Services. Such information was reported on “Delo” portal.
According to the report, it is planned that after reforms take place there will be 60 controlling organizations instead of current 75. Number of control functions will be reduced by 34%, and will amount to 680 instead of 1032 regulatory authorities.
According to Volodymyr Klymenko, head of the Ukrainian Grain Association, it is necessary to eliminate those regulatory agencies that harm grain transportation or sale.
The plan is to reduce the number of state government officials- 2,5 thousand employees will be dismissed from State Agriculture Inspection from the current 5.5 thousand;. Laboratory and quality control service will not be liquidated.
