According to the Agency experts, the grain sowing of winter crops in the country has been completed by 85%, which is only 3% less than on the same date of the previous season. According to forecasts of Agency experts, during 2013/14MY, the overall crop yield in Brazil will total 71.1 million tons, 9 million tons less than in the previous marketing year.
Brazil — one of the world’s largest exporters of corn and soybeans, and in recent years it is getting closer to taking away U.S.’ primacy on these markets. Ukraine, on the other hand, is another large exporter on the crop market and is right after Brazil — conjecture, that will form on the Brazilian market and future success of Ukrainian exporters largely depend on the prospects of Brazilian crop yield.
