As of May 1 of the current year, since the beginning of 2013/14 MY, the actual volume of grain exports from Ukraine amounted to 29 547 ths tons.
According to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food, at the beginning of the current month there was 8 387 ths tons of wheat, 18 562 ths tons of corn, 2 269 ths tons of barley and 329 ths tons of other grains delivered abroad.
In addition, there is 1 167 ths tons of crops accumulated in the port elevators (wheat — 445 ths tons, barley — 49 ths tons, corn — 667 ths tons), another 191 ths tons of grain has been loaded on ships.
Therefore, volume of already exported and export- ready grain amounts to 30.9 million tons, including 8 907 ths tons of wheat, 2 324 ths tons of barley and 19 339 ths tons of corn.
In 2013/14 MY, according to the forecast of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food, Ukraine can supply foreign markets with 34 million tons of grain.
